Group Study Rooms Available, 5th floor Gumberg Library

Having difficulty finding group study space?

Gumberg Library has 3 group study rooms on the 5th floor for student and faculty use. Group study rooms are available on a first-come, first-served basis. Group study rooms can accommodate a minimum of 3 people and maximum of 7. Group study room keys may be checked out at the Circulation Desk for a three-hour (3) period, and are not renewable. A sign-up list is available at the Circulation Desk to indicate waiting status. For security purposes only first names and phone numbers are used on the waiting list.

Keys are not permitted to leave the building and must be returned to the Circulation Desk by the end of the loan period. A fine of $.50/hour will accrue for keys turned in late. Lost keys will be billed at $50.00. The person checking out the key will be held responsible for it; keys may not be loaned to other individuals.

Gumberg Library is not responsible for any private property, including personal or university-owned computers, left in the group study rooms. Private property and library materials must be removed upon vacating a group study room. Food is not permitted, but drinks may be consumed in the rooms, and all trash must be deposited in the respective waste or recycling containers on each floor. Smoking is not allowed.

Blinds must be open during use. Furniture should not be brought into the group study room nor removed from it.

All requests for special use of a group study room should be directed to the University Librarian.
Maintenance and housekeeping needs should be reported to the Circulation Desk.
