Gumberg Library Renovation Updates

The lounge and computers on the Locust Street side of the 4th floor will be unavailable on Friday July 26 so that solar film can be installed on the windows. The computers in the 408 classroom will be available.


Security cameras will be installed throughout the library between July 29 and August 15.

New Guide for Publishing Research

More NEW furniture for Gumberg's 4th floor

The next round of installation of new furniture on Gumberg Library’s 4^th floor will take place on Tuesday July 9 starting at 8 a.m.  Expect some noise on the 4^th floor!  Quiet study areas are available on the 2^nd and 3^rd floors. Study rooms keys can be checked out at the front desk.

New Impact Factors Now Available

The 2013 Edition of Journal Citation Reports (JCR) is now available. JCR is the source of Journal Impact Factors, which are metrics used to assess the impact and influence of more than 10,000 journals in 232 disciplines in the sciences and social sciences Current Duquesne employees and students can use JCR to look up Impact Factors and related metrics by going to JCR

New Carpet Installation June 11

The carpet will be replaced in the Popular Reading Room and in the computer area near the windows.  The job to be completed in one day.  We expect some noisy, but the 4th floor will remain open.
