On September 10 several new enhancements to the SciVerse platform will be released. Therefore, a scheduled outage on September 10 will affect the following products:
• SciVerse ScienceDirect
• Journals Consult
Down time is expected to be as follows:
• 7:30 a.m. – 6:30 p.m., Saturday, September 10
In relation to the planned work, SciVerse ScienceDirect alerts will be suspended for two weeks, September 9-23. Subscribers will receive their outstanding alerts when we resume processing.

Keep track of your research and create bibliographies with RefWorks, an online bibliographic management tool that is FREE to all Duquesne users. We'll show you how to create an account, create and import references, and generate a bibliography.

After attending “Getting Started With RefWorks,” come to learn more about additional features, adding in-text citations and footnotes with Write-n-Cite, and how to format a paper and bibliography from within RefWorks.

Have you seen the new RefWorks? RefWorks 2.0 is now available! If you have been using the older version of RefWorks, you can still log in to RefWorks Classic until the end of 2011. Gumberg Library Summer Building Projects
The Simon Silverman Phenomenology Center on the first floor of the Gumberg Library will be closed for renovations. There will be no retrieval of Silverman collection materials during the closure.
The entire first floor will be closed and used as a staging area and temporary storage for items moved during the renovation. For materials (not in the Silverman collection) with a first floor location please check with the Circulation Desk on the 4th floor for possible retrieval.
